Cornelia Imseng
For over two decades.
Empathetic. Personal. Wholehearted.
My professional journey began as a dental assistant. Even then, I was interested in the person as a whole. I want to understand how the body, thoughts, emotions and lifestyle are connected.
After working in a dental practice, my path led me into beauty therapy. Since 1992, I have offered facial and body treatments with great joy and empathy. I gained my first valuable experience in this profession during four months at a golf hotel in Ahaus. My personal journey then brought me to Switzerland, where I set up my own business as a beauty therapist.
In 2003, I discovered Ayurvedic beauty care. This encounter opened up a new perspective on health, beauty and wellbeing. Ayurveda gave me an even deeper understanding of the connections between body, mind and soul. Its holistic view of cause and effect resonated with my own values and continues to shape my work today.
I had the opportunity to deepen my expertise over five years at Hotel Eden im Schützen in Rheinfelden. There, I supported people facing challenging life circumstances, including burnout, depression and cancer treatment. These encounters enriched me both professionally and personally, strengthening my wish to support each person with mindfulness and individual care.
I was also involved in setting up and developing spa facilities, contributing my experience in beauty therapy, bodywork, organisation and guest care.
In 2014, I completed my Ayurveda training. Since then, I have combined my many years of experience in beauty therapy with the principles of Ayurveda. Every treatment is shaped by care, respect and a sensitive understanding of each client's individual needs.
Today, my work includes caring for guests at three renowned hotels in Basel: the Marriott Hotel, Hotel Märthof and the Mövenpick Hotel. My clients appreciate the personal atmosphere, my empathetic approach and the soothing touch of my hands.
I find fulfilment in supporting people on their journey towards greater wellbeing, inner peace and renewed vitality. For me, Ayurveda is a valuable philosophy of life that sees the person as a whole and reveals the connection between cause and effect.
